The IIvi was introduced in October 1992, and was exactly the same as the IIvx, but with a 16 Mhz 68030 processor, and no FPU. It was priced several hundred dollars cheaper, and was discontinued just 4 months later, making it one of the shortest-lived Macs ever (often a sour point to IIvi owners).
